Piece of Advice

"Speak softly and carry a big stick, and you will go far." While it's unlikely that Theodore Roosevelt really wanted people to carry around big sticks, his advice is good. He meant that people should make sure that they were equipped to defend themselves properly, but not to be aggressive towards others.

Lead Me

"He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, " Feed My sheep. "

Peter was grieved. I wondered did anyone of us ever asked why? IMO, I think it is because he felt the hurt and the pain that Lord J C is doubting Him. Of course, I’m also wondering, did he remember, how he was told that he would denied Jesus 3 thrice before the cock crows, and he so hastily and readily declared that he would not do.

Peter was quick, quick to act. No doubt the only person to have walked on water, either than our Lord, should he had not faltered, he would have walked with the Lord on the water. His faith was shaken, he lost sight of the Lord, and he sunk. How many a times, we would lose sight of our goal, target and our life’s model.

I’ve lost sight again.

I’m not saying that I am great like Peter. In fact, I am not great enough to tie the sandals of those who tie the sandals of our Lord. But yet with the life experiences and encounters of the great saints, once really understand what it means that we are not walking alone in this Journey of faith.

I see the cloud of witnesses and saints cheering us on.
